Who we are

Private Mode Social, LLC, operating HomeWisers at www.homewisers.com ("we," "us"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through our website and product sales, how we use it, and your choices.

Scope — an important distinction

This policy covers information we collect through www.homewisers.com and the HomeWisers sales and support process. It does not cover the property, tenant, or financial information you enter into your installed copy of the HomeWisers assistant — that data lives in your own AI workspace (e.g., your Claude account), under that platform's terms and privacy policy, and we do not receive or store it. See "The product and your data" below.

Information we collect

• You provide: name, email address, billing details, company or property context you choose to share, and the content of messages you send us (support, inquiries, newsletter signups such as the free calendar download).
• Collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, approximate location, and interaction data, via cookies and analytics where permitted (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use it

To deliver and support the product; process purchases; respond to inquiries; operate and secure the website; measure marketing performance; send transactional and, with your consent, marketing communications (with an opt-out in every message); meet legal obligations; and detect fraud or security incidents.

Cookies & analytics

We use first-party cookies and, where enabled and permitted, analytics technologies. Consent-required technologies default to off, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals. Third parties / processors

We use third-party service providers, under contract, to run specific functions. The current providers are:

• Domain and DNS — GoDaddy
• Website hosting, application, and database — Lovable / Supabase (Lovable Cloud), where site signups and purchase records are stored
• Email and correspondence — Microsoft 365 / Outlook
• Payment processing — Stripe
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (see our Cookie Policy for details and your consent controls)
• The AI platform that powers the product — Anthropic (Claude)

We may also disclose information to comply with law or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information. This list is kept consistent with the tools named in our Cookie Policy; if we add or change a provider, we update both.

Affiliate and referral links

Our website and product may include links to third-party services (for example, legal document services such as LawDepot). Some are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, the third party may set its own cookies and record that the referral came from us, so the commission can be attributed; that activity is governed by the third party's own privacy policy. We disclose these relationships wherever the link appears. Using an affiliate link is always optional.

The product and your data

When you use your installed copy of HomeWisers, the property and tenant details, ledger, and documents you create are stored in your own AI workspace, not with us. We do not have access to that content, we do not receive a copy, and the product does not "phone home" to us. Your use of that workspace is governed by that platform's own terms and privacy policy. Your connectors (email, calendar, etc.) are authorized by you inside your own account and can be disconnected at any time. Because that data is governed by your AI platform's own terms, we encourage you to review that platform's privacy policy and security practices to confirm they meet your needs for sensitive tenant, financial, and property information.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Our standard periods are:

• Marketing / newsletter contacts — until you unsubscribe; we then remove you within about 30 days (we may keep a minimal suppression record to honor your opt-out).
• Inquiry and support messages — up to 24 months.
• Purchase and transaction records — at least 7 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements.
• Website analytics (Google Analytics 4) — up to 14 months.

These are our standard retention periods, and we keep information no longer than needed for these purposes or as the law requires.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including to: know and access what we hold, correct inaccurate information, delete it, receive a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising and of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws — including California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and other states as those laws take effect — may have some or all of these rights. To exercise a right, email privacy@homewisers.com; we will verify your request and respond within the time your state law requires. You may use an authorized agent, and where your state provides one, you may appeal a decision by replying to our response. Where practical, we honor these requests from all users, regardless of whether a specific state law applies to us.

Children's privacy

The Service is for adults managing rental property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes take effect when posted with a new effective date. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you — such as posting a prominent notice on the site or, where we have your email address, by email — and we encourage you to review this page periodically to stay aware of how we handle your information.
