What cookies we use

We group cookies and similar technologies into five categories:

1. Strictly necessary. Required for the site and the app to work: keeping you signed in to your account, security, load balancing, session integrity, CSRF protection, and completing actions like a checkout or a download.
2. Preferences. Remember your choices, such as time zone or saved settings.
3. Analytics. Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it: which pages are visited, which site referred you, and approximate location at city level.
4. Marketing and behavior. Recognize you across visits and connect a form you submitted to the pages you viewed, so we can follow up about something you asked for. These are set by our marketing and customer relationship tools.
5. Advertising. Support measurement and audience-based advertising on third-party platforms, including measuring whether an ad led to a sign-up and building audiences for future advertising.

Your consent and control

Analytics, marketing and advertising technologies are denied by default. They activate only after you actively consent. Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie and applies across www.homewisers.com (and any HomeWisers subdomains). You can change your choice anytime through the "Cookie Settings / Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer, through your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox), or via a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which we honor.

Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working, such as submitting a form or completing a purchase.

Analytics tools

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. It loads only after you grant analytics consent, and never when Global Privacy Control is signaled. See Google's privacy information at policies.google.com/privacy.

The categories of providers we work with are described in our Privacy Policy. For the current names of the specific providers in any category, email privacy@homewisers.com and we will tell you.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to third-party services (for example, legal document services such as LawDepot) are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination service may set its own cookies to record that the referral came from us so any commission can be attributed. Those cookies are set by the third party under its own cookie and privacy policies, not by us, and clicking an affiliate link is always optional. We disclose the affiliate relationship wherever the link appears.
